YET...is a Bridge in Your Mind |
YET... is a BRIDGE in your MIND between where you are NOW and where you are "YET" to be. You are on your way! Always see your skills, talents and abilities as "work in progress", in this way they are constantly unfolding forward, and you are achieving goals and success along the way.
“We’ve found that putting in certain phrases, like "not yet" or "yet", can really boost student's motivation. So if a student says, "I’m not a math person—yet" or "I can’t do this—yet", she explains, it puts their fixed mindset statement into a growth mindset context of learning over time.” excerpt by Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck
"I am on a journey to where I would like to be... I'm not there yet, but I am on my way!" Anything you would like to BE, DO or HAVE is NOT going to just magically happen just because you would like it to...YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY, IT JUST HASN'T HAPPENED YET! Your FAITH, WORK, CREATIVITY, RESOURCEFULNESS etc can CAUSE it to HAPPEN, this or something BETTER!
After the death of my son's father, I didn't know what I was going to do, but the truth is I had been doing what I had to do all along, so all I had to do was to continue, just without him. NOW, I am GRATEFUL for the contributions he made to my life, one being the GIFT of our son... R.I.P., R. A friend came to visit later that day without knowing what happened earlier, she came to give me a CD by a very gifted gospel singer Martha Munizzi entitled 'THE BEST IS YET TO COME'! Looking back on that day fills my eyes with tears... the YET had already been planned, and while I was in my grief it was on its way to ringing my doorbell, in San Francisco, with the GIFT to BEGIN again. THE BEST IS YET TO COME and it is here NOW... in your MIND!
